Stop Smoking with Hypnotherapy

If you really want to stop smoking, hypnotherapy can help.

The Benefits of Stopping Smoking
After 20 minutes your blood pressure and pulse return to normal
After 8 hours levels of nicotine and carbon monoxide in your body will be halved.
After 1 day your carbon monoxide level will be at the same level as a non-smoker.
After 3 days your breathing will be easier as your bronchial tubes begin to relax.
After 5 to 15 years the risk of lung and other cancers, heart attack, stroke and chronic lung disease returns to that of a non-smoker.

How does hypnotherapy work?
Many hypnotherapists only use suggestion hypnosis to help their clients stop smoking. Experience has shown that suggestion therapy, by itself, only has a moderate success rate (although still higher than nicotine replacement products!). However by using a unique combination of life coaching and hypnosis, the success rate is vastly increased.

Hypnotherapy as an aid to stopping smoking is best used in conjunction with other techniques. Dyfed Therapies strongly suggest that you join a local support group.

What to expect
Many people find that they only need one session, lasting about 1 1/2 hours.  After the session, about 30% of people feel as if they've never had a cigarette in their lives.  Another 30+% will feel great, with no cravings, but a week or so may go by and they may get the odd thought about cigarettes.  As soon as the thought comes into their mind, it'll be gone again. The last 30% are people that have to be aware of their triggers - the occasions that may tempt them to have a cigarette again, maybe on the phone or in the car. And the very last 5% or so?  Well these are normally clients who have been persuaded to come to a hypnotherapy session - maybe by their loved ones or their doctor.  The techniques will not work unless you're 100% ready to quit smoking for good and make the changes that will benefit your life. Some clients benefit from a series of sessions.  Sometimes the initial session is for preparation - a quit date will be set and plan made for the changes that will be needed.
